Fundraising Director
Role Description
- This is a remote volunteer role for a Fundraising Director. The Fundraising Director will develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the organisation's initiatives.
- Responsibilities include building relationships with major donors, organising fundraising campaigns, managing annual giving efforts and fostering partnerships with philanthropic organisations and charities.
- The role also involves maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to ensure the sustainability and success of fundraising projects.
- The successful candidate will become a member of the Governing Board of the Foundation.
Qualifications
- Experience with Major Donors and Annual Giving programs
- Strong Communication skills, particularly in engaging with stakeholders and writing impactful proposals
- Understanding of Philanthropy and working with Charities
- Proven ability to manage fundraising campaigns and cultivate relationships with donors
- Passion for child protection and social advocacy
- Organisational and project management skills to plan and execute fundraising initiatives effectively
- Prior experience in the nonprofit sector is an advantage
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans.
- Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts.
Campaign Management
- Plan and manage fundraising campaigns and events.
- Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to promote campaigns.
- Track and report on campaign progress and outcomes.
Budget Management
- Develop and manage fundraising budgets.
- Ensure funds are allocated and used effectively.
- Provide regular financial reports to the Chair.
Donor Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
- Develop and implement donor recognition programs.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with donors.
Grant Writing
- Research and identify grant opportunities.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals.
- Manage grant reporting and compliance requirements.
Other Requirements Must:
- Be a permanent resident of Australia
- Provide or be willing to undergo a National Police Check. Depending upon the state of residence, the Foundation may be able to get this free of charge or at a reduced price.
